“Savile Row” Wallcovering
Wolf Gordon Design Studio, 2012
Vinyl with Polyester Non-Woven Backing
52" W

Also part of the London Chic collection by Wolf Gordon is “Savile Row”, manufactured by York Wallcoverings in York, PA. The houndstooth pattern refers to London’s Savile Row as the sartorial center of the U.K., and the embossed fabric-like texture refers to the houndstooth’s textile origins. This super-graphic pattern and larger scale has become popular in recent years for wallcovering consumers, who want more accent walls in their interior spaces. This colorway, “Camouflage,” is a more playful interpretation of a houndstooth, moving away from the traditional reference of menswear into a more modern take. RE
